Joseph Dommer - President
Joseph Dommer brings 26 years of industry experience to the firm.  With a degree in Construction Technology from Erie Community College, Mr. Dommer's experience includes many public, university, and complex industrial projects where he has served as the partner-in-charge or directly as the Senior Cost Estimator.  He is also a core program graduate of the University at Buffalo Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.  Mr. Dommer is a member of the Erie Community College Civil Engineering / Construction Technology Advisory Council and an affiliate member of the Buffalo-Western New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.  Previously, he has held positions on the Board of Governors for the Construction Exchange of Buffalo and Western New York.

 

Mark Laduca - Vice President / Senior Estimator
With 31 years of estimating experience, Mark Laduca serves as the Senior Estimator for Baer & Associates.  Beyond estimating our most complex projects, Mark is responsible for the training and development of Baer's estimating staff.  Upon graduating from Erie Community College with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mark gained a diverse background across multiple disciplines in the Construction Industry.  He has held positions with Construction firms as a Project Manager and has several years of field experience.  Over the past 16 years, Mark has served as the estimator of record for many high profile projects, including the University at Buffalo School of Medicine, the Syracuse Hancock International Airport, Classified Nuclear Facilities, large Wastewater Treatment Plants, and several projects at Cornell University.  He is currently a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).

 

JoshTelenko - Vice President  / Pittsburgh Office General Manager / Senior General Construction Estimator
With his 15 years of experience in the construction industry, Josh brings a great deal of depth and breadth to the team.  His ability to mix the art and science of estimating with real-world construction experience makes Josh one of Baer & Associates best estimators across all phases of a project.  He currently serves as the General Manager for Baer & Associates' Pittsburgh location.  Over his career, he has served as the estimator of record on several high visibility projects, including the Grand Hudson Resort and Casino, the Genesee Community College Master Plan, and the SUNY Binghamton School of Pharmacy.  With a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Josh is involved extensively with the business operations of Baer & Associates.  Josh currently serves as the Secretary of the Pittsburgh Chapter of Construction Specifications Institute (CSI).

 

Rich Chudzik - Director of Business Development / Estimator
Rich Chudzik brings over 15 years of leadership experience across organizations and teams of varying functions, sizes, and industries to Baer & Associates.  Prior to joining the team, he served as a Supply Chain Director with Moog's Aircraft Group.  He has worked for Moog and General Dynamics Land Systems in several different capacities and at varying levels within the Aerospace and Defense Industry.  He has extensive experience in Strategy Development and Business Development.  As a Veteran Infantry Officer who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, Rich has a passion for supporting our Veterans and their Spouses.  He holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree from West Point, a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Duke University, and a Master's of Engineering from Cornell University.  Rich serves as both our Strategy Lead and Business Development Director.

The location in New Windsor New York is envisioned to link Orange County and the Catskills region of New York State to its previous era of economic success.

    Buffalo Canalside (South Aud Block Redevelopment)

    The Buffalo Waterfront was once a bustling industrial port that marked the Western terminus of the Erie Canal and served as a major gateway to the west. "Canal Side" will reestablish the City's relationship with the waterfront. The new harbor at the foot of Main Street positions the First Niagara Center as a waterfront site, the new Commercial Slip celebrates the history of the Erie Canal, and the Prime Slip brings water into the center of the development.

    The approximately 60,000 square foot building houses a mixed program of campus club and student government offices, public gathering spaces, food services, a climbing wall, a radio station and a "dirty space" for students to engage in engineering projects. The facility incorporates many sustainable design features including a geothermal heating system, energy recovery wheels for HVAC, sunshade louvers, rainwater harvesting, a green roof and water efficient plumbing fixtures.

    Phase 1, construction of an impressive three-story building of 92,000 square feet designed by Mitchell / Giurgola Architects LLP, was planned to enhance math and science learning. It houses the biology and chemistry/biochemistry departments, in addition to the environmental science and science education programs.

    State University of New York College at Fredonia Science Complex Phase 2

    Phase 2, renovation of Houghton Hall, will commence upon completion of the new building and eventually house the departments of physics, geosciences, mathematics and computer and information sciences - thereby creating a Fredonia Science Complex dedicated to all of the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) disciplines.  Previously spread over 4 different buildings, all sciences will now be under one roof.
