The new building will be about 166,000 gsf housing the School of Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Dean's Office. It will be a 4-story structure reconstructed on the existing Acheson Halls concrete superstructure on the south campus. First two floors of the building will consist of classrooms, offices, lecture halls, a new cafe space and the administrative department of the School of Pharmacy. The top two floors will consist of research space, labs and a supporting animal department for research associated with SOPPS. This premier facility will achieve LEED Silver certification.
The SoPPS is the only pharmacy school in the State University of New York (SUNY) system and is ranked in the top 25 pharmacy schools in the nation, according to U.S. News and World Report.
